Salary data for procurement roles in our region is hard to find and what exists is often outdated or unreliable. Based on conversations with hiring managers and professionals across the region:
Iraq (Baghdad, private sector):
- Procurement Officer / Specialist: $700 – $1,400/month
- Procurement Supervisor: $1,400 – $2,200/month
- Procurement Manager: $2,200 – $3,800/month
- Supply Chain Director: $4,000 – $7,000/month
Figures vary significantly by industry — oil & gas and banking pay at the higher end, FMCG and construction at the lower end.
UAE / Saudi Arabia:
- Procurement Specialist: AED 8,000 – 14,000/month
- Procurement Manager: AED 18,000 – 30,000/month
- Supply Chain Director: AED 35,000 – 60,000/month
Factors that move the number:
- ERP proficiency (SAP, Oracle) adds 15-20% premium
- International supplier management experience adds value
- Certifications (CIPS, CSCP) add credibility but less salary impact at junior levels, more at senior
These are rough benchmarks. Sector, company size, and individual negotiation matter more than any published range.
