One of the biggest challenges in procurement is supplier evaluation.
What criteria do you use when onboarding a new supplier? Do you use a formal scorecard system or rely on references and samples?
Key areas I personally evaluate:
– Financial stability
– Quality certifications (ISO, etc.)
– Lead times and capacity
– References from other buyers
– Payment terms flexibility
